Run, Jump, and Play This May! 4 Dog-Friendly Events to Enjoy Together

Did you feel it? There’s been a shift in the air! Flowers are blooming and the weather is warming up – spring has officially arrived! As the warmer months approach, don’t forget the pooch when you’re planning your days out! The city offers a variety of dog-friendly events so Fido can enjoy the fun, too!

Do you and your dog love to exercise together? Why not sign up for a pup-friendly 5K or 1-mile run? The APA Fast and Furriest Run raises money for the APA Adoption Center and provides prizes, activities for kids, and great bonding time with your pup! The Humane Society’s Bark in the Park event includes a 5K run or 1-mile walk, a pancake breakfast, pet performances, and more! Register individually or as a group and help the humane society reach their goal of $150,000 to go toward helping homeless pets.

Do you prefer some scenery on walks with your furry friend? Mini-Hiking with Rover provides a safe, short, and absolutely beautiful walk with your dog. Both of you can make new friends and enjoy all the nature the reserve has to offer!

If summertime sports are more your speed, bring your dog along to get in on the fun at the River City Rascals Bark in the Park. Participate in a doggy parade before the game, enjoy a dog performance on the field, or adopt the newest member of your family at the game!

No matter how you spend your days, make this spring one to remember for yourself and your furry friend! Got an event you and Fido look forward to every year? Tell us about it on our Facebook page! When you can’t take your pup with you but still want to be sure they’ll have a fun-filled day, BauserHaus is the answer! Get signed up today at or call us at (314) 961-3911.
